How I Protect Your Rankings

  • Pre-migration benchmark. I record your current rankings, traffic, top pages and backlinks so nothing important gets missed.
  • Full URL mapping. Every old URL is mapped to the most relevant new one with 301 redirects, not everything dumped onto the homepage.
  • Content and metadata preserved. Titles, descriptions, headings, schema and internal links carry over or improve.
  • Staging review. The new site is crawled and checked before launch, and blocked from indexing until it’s ready.
  • Launch-day checks. Redirects, robots.txt, sitemaps, canonicals and analytics are verified the moment the site goes live.
  • Post-launch monitoring. I watch Search Console, crawl errors and traffic in the weeks after launch and fix issues as they appear.
